Machined-parts purchasing information

  • Order quantitySingle-piece and small-batch orders. MOQ: 1 piece.
  • QuotationQuotation within 24 hours.
  • ProductionProduction lead time: 10–15 days to dispatch.
  • DeliveryDelivery according to the agreed schedule.

Rotational features come first.

Turning cuts a rotating workpiece to form diameters, shoulders and other rotational features. Bores, threads and grooves belong in the same drawing as the mating diameters. Flats or cross-holes may need additional operations.

Specify the datum axis and any runout or coaxiality requirement on the drawing. Liwen coordinates the full part, including milling or finishing, with the independent manufacturer. The material, released revision, inspection scope and delivery remain order-specific.

A turning enquiry, organised around the axis.

01

Diameters and fits

Identify shaft or bore fits, diameter limits and whether dimensions apply before or after treatment.

02

Axial relationships

State datum references and the required runout or coaxial relationship. Include shoulder locations and functional end faces.

03

Threads and grooves

Provide the thread specification, engagement needs and any groove or undercut detail that affects assembly.

04

Secondary features

Include cross-holes, flats, milling and marking. The quotation must cover the complete part, not only the turned profile.

Manufacturing and inspection details (optional)

Manufacturing & Inspection Review Before Production

Carry clear requirements from drawing to acceptance. Liwen coordinates questions with the independent manufacturer; review scope and records are agreed for your order.

Drawing review

Identify the drawing revision, key dimensions, datums and functional interfaces. Flag missing or conflicting requirements for customer clarification.

Manufacturability

Review tool access, workholding, thin walls and difficult features with the proposed independent manufacturer. Customers approve any proposed design changes.

Tolerance risk

Distinguish functional fits and feature relationships from general requirements. Assess demanding tolerances for the particular part and route.

Inspection alignment

Agree the measurement basis for critical features, required records and any sampling or acceptance criteria in the order. Resolve different measurement interpretations before production.

Cost options

Discuss possible changes to material, geometry, finish or quantity against function and inspection requirements. Savings are assessed for the project rather than guaranteed.

Customer confirmation: unresolved requirements, proposed design changes and acceptance arrangements need your approval before the affected work proceeds. Molitech remains your contracting seller.

CNC turning FAQs

Which dimensions should I identify first?

Identify fits, threads, runout relationships and reference datums where they matter to the assembly. Avoid relying on an unmarked general expectation.

Can turning and milling be coordinated?

Yes, the enquiry can cover the full part. The selected operations and inspection scope are confirmed in the project quotation.

How do I request a quote?

Send the drawing revision, material, quantity, destination and target delivery date. Use an authorised link or agree a confidential email route with Liwen.

What tolerances and lead times can you offer?

The drawing and selected route define the tolerance review. Quotation within 24 hours. Production lead time: 10–15 days to dispatch. Delivery according to the agreed schedule. Precision requirements are reviewed for the part.

Who is responsible for my order?

Molitech quotes, contracts and receives payment as your seller. Independent partner manufacturers produce the parts.

What about threads and features on different faces?

Include the thread callout and any flats, holes or other secondary features in the same drawing. Let us know which diameters or relationships matter to assembly.

Ready to review a shaft or sleeve?

Send the complete drawing with mating diameters, threads and datum relationships highlighted.
